It was reported this morning that Schmucky Chucky Schumer is fed up with McConnell and is trying to break him or something. So he scheduled today’s vote to get Republicans on the record for refusing to raise the debt limit:
SCHUMER is sick of McConnell and is trying to break him. he believes McConnell is a phony who comes up with a BS standard for every situation when it fits his political needs.

Hey may think McConnell is breakable on this issue, but I’m pretty sure Schumer is just grasping at straws. And he’s delusional. McConnell may be a squish on some things, but he and Republicans are not going to enable Democrats to spend 3.5 trillion on some phony infrastructure bill that has nothing to do with infrastructure.
Also, the debt limit is only a side issue. The Democrat civil war in the House and two stalwart Democrats in the Senate are really what stands in Schumer’s way of passing Biden’s destructive agenda.
To my point…
We’re about to send @PunchbowlNews Midday out
We sense absolutely no movement on the Republican side — none at all — on their debt limit stance.

Just yesterday Ted Cruz echoed that sentiment:

McConnell said the other day that if Democrats want to govern alone, then they can raise the debt limit alone. And he’s absolutely right about that.
Besides, despite the fear mongering, the US won’t default on debt if the debt limit doesn’t get raised. The US can absolutely afford to pay the interest payments on our debt, which is what’s required.
