The “sunrise movement” had protesters outside Sen. Mitch McConnell’s house, shouting, honking horns, banging on pots and pans, and generally being asses, under the motto “no justice no sleep.”
“You let our economy tumble into free-fall, our people be gunned down in the streets by killer cops, & our planet be ravaged by your oil CEO friends,” they tweeted uncreatively. Have you ever seen a more generic complaint? “oil CEO friends”? Was this organized by boomers? Who still brings up OIL CEOs? Environmental wackos are so old-fashioned.
No justice, no sleep Mitch.

This #Juneteenth , we’re wide awake.
In November when we vote you out, maybe you’ll wake up, too. pic.twitter.com/M6sRiNbFDu

On site protesters kept it a bit more modern, with shouts and signs such as “Breonna couldn’t sleep, neither should Mitch.”
Last night the president said this year is the time to choose between the left wing mob and standing tall and proud as Americans. But it might be simpler than that. Are we going to be the country of teenagers sabotaging elections with no consequence and protesters outside people’s private homes? Or the the one that isn’t that.
