Louie Gohmert is very happy that the Obamacare reform bill is so much better than it was and is happy to cast a vote for it:
Gohmert argues that most of the original bill gave the power to HHS to do what the Congress needed to do, and the Freedom Caucus has forced Congress to take that authority back. That’s a big deal as we here thought it was absurd to give HHS so much power when the administrations could flip again to Democrats in just four years.
Also he notes that because of this premiums will actually fall for most Americans next year.
Gohmert says that he can live the latest amendment that was added and while it’s not the full repeal that the GOP promised for seven years, it’s much better than doing nothing at this point, which was what would’ve happened had the Freedom Caucus not intervened.
