Major US Church just went ANTI-SEMITIC

Portions of the American protestant church just keep moving further away from the Bible every day, whether it be acceptance of homosexuality or becoming more anti-Semitic. In this case it’s the United Methodist Church who just engaged in the BDS movement by banning investment in Israeli banks helping finance settlement reconstruction in Judea and Samaria:

CHRISTIAN NEWS – The pension board of the United Methodist Church is boycotting investment in five Israeli banks due to human rights infringements, it announced on Tuesday.

The five banks – Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, First International Bank of Israel, Israel Discount Bank and Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot – are each involved in financing settlement construction in Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.

This is believed to be the first time a pension fund of a large American church has chosen to engage in divestment from Israeli banks, and has been described as an important step in the Boycott, Divest and Sanction campaign (B.D.S).

According to the NY Times, the pension fund divested a significant amount in these Israeli banks:

The Israeli bank stock the board sold off was worth a few million dollars in a fund with $20 billion in assets. The fund also sold holdings worth about $5,000 in the Israeli real estate and construction company Shikun & Binui, and barred the company from the pension group’s investment portfolio.

It’s like the Bible means nothing to these so-called ‘Christians’. By supporting the ‘Palestinian territories’, they are essentially dividing Israel and we all know that is quite contrary to scripture.

These so-called ‘Christians’ give all protestants a bad name.
