Ted Cruz was assaulted today by a man throwing a beer can during the parade in Houston after the Astros won the World Series.
Video below shows Cruz, and presumably his Secret Service agent, deflecting a beer can thrown from the crowd.

It was reported by this Fox26 Houston reporter that the man was arrested.

Cruz responded to the video saying he was thankful for the quick action of the Houston Police and the fact that the man throwing the beer had a ‘noodle for an arm’:
