Last night Tucker Carlson played Marcellus Wiley’s criticism of Black Lives Matter, which we originally posted here. Apparently one of his critics thought they’d shame him by telling him he’s being used by Tucker Carlson now to ‘justify their hate’:
Congrats to @marcelluswiley… this is who you’re aligned with now… you’re the latest black face they can use to justify their hate. Congrats 🤡 pic.twitter.com/0I9QgWfPGh

But Wiley wasn’t ashamed at all. Rather, he dropped a truth bomb on them, saying “I’m never scared where the truth takes me. You should take a ride with me someday, it’s so empowering…OR…you can stay scared and stay still!”

I love it when people stand up for what they believe and don’t kowtow to the mob.
Another critic of Wiley’s accused him of misrepresenting BLM by conflating fatherhood with ‘patriarchy’:
So it just ‘slipped their mind’ to not have the word “father” follow the word “mother” in their family structure? 🤯🤦🏿♂️ If that’s the pillow you want to lie on, do you! 💯🙏🏿 #enjoytheecho https://t.co/aOWExruWuG

What Wiley is referring to is where it says this in the BLM mission statement:
We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.
He’s right. They completely omit it. And as he pointed out in his earlier comments, they also say “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement…” They clearly have a problem with fatherhood and the nuclear family.
In very much related news, Tucker interviewed former Wiley colleague Jason Whitlock last night on this very issue:
