As we’ve already pointed out, this morning Trump tweeted that Russia continues to deny they interfered in our election:
Russia continues to say they had nothing to do with Meddling in our Election! Where is the DNC Server, and why didn’t Shady James Comey and the now disgraced FBI agents take and closely examine it? Why isn’t Hillary/Russia being looked at? So many questions, so much corruption!

Sensing that Trump may be obfuscating on this issue again, Marco Rubio tweeted this:
Of course #Putin continues to deny interfering in our elections. But he did. That is not a matter of opinion, it is an indisputable FACT.

Yes, I definitely think that was aimed Trump. LOL.
So why didn’t Rubio mention Trump directly, or respond to the tweet directly? This may explain it:
Re-upping this tweet from 2 days ago. GOP voters defend Trump when attacked by media,OFTEN DESPITE NOT LIKING WHAT HE DID OR SAID,because they view media as unfair & biased. And generally, elected Republicans & elected Democrats for that matter don’t like being crossways with base https://t.co/sw9P3SEGGZ

BTW I’m not happy about this reality. It’s terrible for country. Lack of trust in reporting leaves us vulnerable to conspiracy theories & unable to have debates

b/c we can’t even agree on baseline facts. We are all ALL to blame for this mess. Sorry, that includes many in media https://t.co/rYLKtjCezU
He doesn’t want to attack Trump because he feels Trump is already the target of many unfair attacks by the media. Instead it sounds like he prefers to directly support Trump and, in cases like this, air his disagreement without directly connecting it to Trump.
