Mark Ruffalo apologizes for accusing Israel of committing “genocide” during recent war with Hamas

In a surprising move, liberal activist and actor Mark Ruffalo apologized last night for his inflammatory comments during the recent Israeli war with Hamas that ended last week:

If you can’t see the tweet, Ruffalo said: “I have reflected & wanted to apologize for posts during the recent Israel/Hamas fighting that suggested Israel is committing “genocide”. It’s not accurate, it’s inflammatory, disrespectful & is being used to justify antisemitism here & abroad. Now is the time to avoid hyperbole.”

That’s a pretty courageous apology to make in a woke environment where many on the left are saying the same inaccurate and inflammatory things. I don’t know how the truth of the situation got to him, but it’s nice to see someone come to their senses like this.

Of course, his apology wasn’t well received by the left:

I could go on and on with these tweets, but you get the idea. But on the flip side, I did see many tweets recognizing the courage of Ruffalo to say this. So it wasn’t all bad. But I’m sure his timeline is full of the stuff above like I posted.
