Massive Russian convoy moves closer to Kyiv

It’s been reported for a good part of the evening that a massive Russian convoy stretching more than 40 miles long is moving toward Kyiv:

REUTERS – Satellite images taken on Monday show a Russian military convoy north of the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv that stretches for about 40 miles (64 km), substantially longer than the 17 miles (27 km) reported earlier in the day, a U.S. private company said.

Maxar Technologies (MAXR.N) also said additional ground forces deployments and ground attack helicopter units were seen in southern Belarus, less than 20 miles (32 km) north of the Ukraine border.

Here’s a couple images of the convoy. The first one is more recent:

An hour ago it was reported that the convoy was 17 miles from the city

There’s not much more reporting on the convoy other than people wondering why it hasn’t been bombed already, given how it’s a pretty ripe target.
