Trump cheerleader Matt Schlapp tried to put all the blame about the Rob Porter wife-beating scandal on the FBI in this interview on MSNBC.

The interview was useful, at least, in order to get an understanding of how White House officials are vetted and investigated, but Schlapp goes out of his way to toss the FBI under the bus and excuse Trump officials, including Chief of Staff John Kelly for the mess.
It’s just hard to believe that they didn’t have a clue about how bad the allegations were. The original statements the White House put out were in complete support of Porter, and then later statements expressed shock, shock I tell you, at the allegations. Either they didn’t give a damn about the allegations, or they were incompetent. Schlapp, as usual, is just presenting a poorly argued irrational defense of all things Trumpy.
