Matthews resorts to frightening Eric Cantor’s constituents to rally support for Obama’s jobs plan

Spit it out, Tingles. It’s “Transportation for America” – not “Transfortation for America”.

This goes back to the issue of prioritization, which came up during the debt ceiling debate. If there really are all these “structurally deficient” bridges out there, we have the money on hand to do the necessary repairs. Sure, it will mean cutting back on certain other programs – like maybe cowboy poetry or the Department of Education – but what’s more important?

You’re telling me that our government knowingly keeps bridges open it knows are at risk of collapsing at any given moment? I really doubt that. I haven’t researched this but my guess is “structurally deficient” does not mean “at risk of imminient collapse.”
