Despite being pardoned by the governor of Missouri, the Missouri Supreme Court has been asked to suspend the McCloskey’s law licenses after they plead guilty earlier this year to misdemeanors related their actions last year when they defended themselves against an angry BLM mob:
DC EXAMINER – The St. Louis couple who brandished weapons while staring down Black Lives Matter demonstrators in the summer of 2020 could lose their law licenses.
Missouri Chief Disciplinary Counsel Alan Pratzel asked the Missouri Supreme Court to suspend the licenses of Mark and Patricia McCloskey , citing how the couple pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges for aiming guns at protesters at the height of the protests after George Floyd’s death, according to court filings reported by KCUR-FM.
Mark McCloskey pleaded guilty to fourth-degree misdemeanor assault and was ordered to pay a $750 fine, while Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to second-degree misdemeanor harassment. She was ordered to pay $2,000.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parsons pardoned the McCloskeys this summer, but Pratzel said their behavior warrants discipline because they showed “indifference to public safety” and involved “moral turpitude.”
An attorney for the McCloskeys declined to comment on Monday, the Associated Press reported .
The couple works together at the McCloskey Law Center and focus on personal injury, medical malpractice, and defective products cases.
Even after Mark McCloskey pled guilty, he was unapologetic saying he’d definitely do it again if put in the same circumstance.
But this Pratzel idiot wants their law licenses over it and claims they were indifferent to public safety. What a load of bullcrap. All they did was protect themselves from a mob that broke into their property and threatened them. While I hate that the McCloskeys pled guilty to anything, probably because they knew the governor would pardon them and just wanted to end it all, that doesn’t take away from their absolute innocence in simply trying to defend themselves.
This just proves that there are schmucks everywhere who want to make a name for themselves attacking innocent people.
