McConnell held a short presser today to explain what’s happening with the impeachment trial, should Nancy Pelosi turn over the articles of impeachment tomorrow:

The Senate must still approve a resolution to provide the ground rules for the start of the impeachment trial. McConnell says all 53 GOP Senators are together but no text of that resolution has been released as yet.

In short, McConnell says there are housekeeping measures that must be dealt with first, which puts the trial beginning on Tuesday.

Also I have a question for those of you who subscribe to our newsletter via email. It goes out once a day, somewhere around 9pm. That’s how I think most people prefer to get it. However WordPress has an option where one can subscribe to each article, so that they’d get an email alert as soon as an article is posted. Does that seem like something any of you would prefer? I only ask because it would amount to more emails, but it would also be very timely.
