McConnell admits he has a ‘sad’ over the failure of the repeal/replace legislation, but he believes now that repealing Obamacare first will allow Republicans to do what is right for the American people:

When the Republican bill passed the House we were hoping it would get vastly improved or die in the Senate, and that’s basically what just happened – thanks to a few conservative Republicans.
It’s not that Mike Lee wouldn’t have voted for a non-full-repeal bill. He would have voted for a bill that solved the problem. But in the end he obviously felt this bill wouldn’t do it and thus he and Jerry Moran killed the bill.
So now the Senate and House are being dragged kicking and screaming to full repeal, something they all promised they’d do, because of the mess the RINOs made of this. I just hope they vote for it because if they don’t, then I’m not sure what other options there are on the table except to let Obamacare completely collapse as Trump is suggesting. And that’s something that should never happen.
