This is a beautiful story about two parents who refused to accept the ‘non viable’ diagnosis of their doctors and abort their child as these experts suggested. Turns out the doctors were wrong and the child is still alive today, despite being born at just 22 weeks:

In our Bible Timeline class last night we learned how the Canaanites would sacrifice their children to their pagan god Molech by burning them to death. When the baby would start screaming, someone would start beating the drums very loudly so that the father wouldn’t hear the screams of his child and his heart be rent with compassion. Jeff Cavins, the man teaching the class, sarcastically suggested that it’s good we live in the modern era, well past the child-sacrificing barbarism of those days.
The truth is that in the name of choice and science we, as a society, massacre far more children than those barbarians ever sacrificed to their pagan gods. According to Wikipedia, since 1970 over 45 million babies have been murdered. 45 million. That number is so staggering that it makes me wonder why Jesus hasn’t returned yet and poured out his wrath on the world.
Civilization today may be wealthier and technologically superior to those from thousands of years ago. But morally we are no better than the Canaanite barbarians. In fact we may be worse, as our society has institutionalized this atrocious sin by deceiving many into believing that there is nothing wrong with abortion, that their baby isn’t a baby at all, but just a mass of cells. It’s horrific.
