Merkel says Europe can no longer rely on U.S., then chugs a huge beer

El Trumpo and his supporters are calling the foreign trip he just went on a fantastic amazing incredible feat that no human could have ever pulled off ever.

Here’s what Merkel says about that:

Europe “must take its fate into its own hands” faced with a western alliance divided by Brexit and Donald Trump’s presidency, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Sunday.

“The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out. I’ve experienced that in the last few days,” Merkel told a crowd at an election rally in Munich, southern Germany.

“We Europeans truly have to take our fate into our own hands,” she added.

While Germany and Europe would strive to remain on good terms with America and Britain, “we have to fight for our own destiny”, Merkel went on.

I saw a report that she gave this speech to about 2,000 Germans.

And she said because Germany can’t depend on the United States, they’ll have to reach out to appease Russia:

“I have experienced this in the last few days,” she said. “And that is why I can only say that we Europeans must really take our fate into our own hands — of course in friendship with the United States of America, in friendship with Great Britain and as good neighbors wherever that is possible also with other countries, even with Russia.”
