Scumbag lawyer Michael Avenatti has been charged by a Grand Jury with attempting to extort millions from Nike…
A federal grand jury returned a superseding indictment today against Michael Avenatti in the SDNY case in which he is charged with attempting to extort millions from Nike, per court filings. The superseder drops the conspiracy charges & adds 1 count of honest services wire fraud

As Orden points out, the conspiracy charges against him have been dropped. However he’s also being charged with “honest service wire fraud”.
Avenatti is on Twitter responding to everyone who reports on this, saying he’s happy with how things turned out:
I am extremely pleased that the two counts alleging I engaged in a conspiracy against Nike have just been dismissed by Trump’s DOJ. I will be fully exonerated when it is all said and done. This case should have never let been filed.

I’m sure he is happy about the conspiracy charges being dropped. But we’ll see if the rest turns out to his liking.
To paraphrase Rush Limbaugh, “I hope he jails”.
