Mike Lee: We are not to blame for Harry Reid pushing through nominees

Mike Lee was on Fox News a little while ago and was asked about his opposition to the $1.1 trillion cromnibus bill. He replied that his problem with the 1600 page bill that was that it was created in secret and not subjected an an open process where amendments were allowed whether in committee or before the House or Senate. He said he and other Senators simply wanted a way to voice their opposition to what the president was doing.

He also said it’s completely wrong to suggest that he and Cruz are to blame for Harry Reid being able to push through his nominees. Lee says it would have been political malpractice for Reid not to do confirm the nominees before the year was over.
