Even though el Trumpo has said he’s going to build a wall and then backed off on it numerous times, Mike Pence is still sticking to the story that it’s going to be built and that Mexico is going to pay for it. Why not?

Except getting a country to pay billions of dollars for your publics work project is way different from the crony capitalism of giving away government treats to secure 1,000 jobs. While Mexico has a lot to lose if we toss up tariffs and shut off trade, so do we. And that in no way guarantees that they will pony up the more than ten billion some economists believe it will take to build the enormous wall Trump keeps bragging about.
