Mitt Romney criticized several nameless Republican senators for their questioning of Biden’s SCOTUS nominee, which he described as disrespectful.
Kasie Hunt: "What was behind your colleagues and the way that they questioned Judge Jackson?"

Romney said:
I thought some were preparing for their presidential campaign and were, if you will, doing the things you have to do to get on TV, which I think is unfortunate. I think any setting like this that doesn’t show respect for…the judge…is not the right way for us to go. We should show, in my opinion, more respect for one another.
Now who do you think Romney is talking about with his presidential campaign remark? He’s clearly talking about Ted Cruz, as there is no one else on the Judiciary committee who has ever run for president.
What a putz. I’m thinking now that it is even more likely that Romney backs Jackson’s confirmation. Not that it matters though, because at this point both Collins and Manchin are already backing her. Democrats have the numbers.
