I’m sure this MSNBC reporter hated to pour cold water on the media narrative about the migrant mob at the border, but being there among the migrants he did just that.

You can tell Schwartz was trying to be diplomatic. But the two big things he said in this MSNBC was that the migrants are mostly men and that they aren’t talking about applying for asylum:
From what we’ve seen the majority are actually men and some of these men have not articulated that need for asylum. Instead they have talked about going to the United States for a better life and to find work.
Schwartz says there are women and children there, but clearly the majority of the migrants are men. And many of them aren’t seeking asylum after all.
That jives with other reporting that we’ve seen in the last few weeks as well as what the Border Patrol Chief said this morning.
