Muslim analyst STUNS CNN anchor with defense of Trump and Republicans on ‘Islamophobia’ accusations

Foreign Policy analyst Qanta Ahmed shocked CNN’s Fredericka Winfield when she went off on what a mistake it was to accuse Trump and Republicans of “Islamophobia” when so many Muslims actually respect and appreciate them for what they’ve done.

Here’s the videos from Ahmed’s appearance on CNN:

She did say Trump’s statement on New Zealand wasn’t good enough, but then added that he wasn’t responsible for someone putting them in their manifesto:

She says Trump is “beloved” by some, and explains how George W. Bush acted to save many in Muslim countries. Kind of a refreshing take from all the crap we see so often.

That’s probably why the only place you can find that clip is on Ahmed’s twitter, and not on CNN or YouTube. Weird, right? Ahmed seems like a very reasonable and rational critic of Islam.

That’s it for this Sunday. I hope you all had a great weekend. Have an open thread for St. Paddie’s Day, but don’t pinch each other!!

Here’s some comment fodder:

I applaud those who will call these things out. We are living in dangerous times. People are painting with very broad brushes, and are kicking any religious-based morality out of the equation – unless it is to help give another voting class some kind of victim rights (a manipulation tactic of the left). I’m seeing more and more people apologize for their “white privilege” , and on the other end more people subscribe to evil ideologies like White Supremacy. We often dismiss the past as if it cant recur, but it can. We should stand for goodness.

I was imagining the collective eye bulging gasps and breath taking shock emanating from the islamo-marxist left upon hearing Qanat Amed dare to utter such blasphemy. There is no such place for rational, sane and reasonable diatribe because it deconstructs and lays bare the left’s decades long pro islam narrative.

This shows why I still cringe when I see non-leftists just shouting that Islam is the problem.

They make up 24% of the world’s population, and with the exception of Christianity in sub saharan Africa, are the fastest-growing religious population. Unless you really want a religious war (most likely unsurvivable for modern civilization), declaring them all to be the problem is a completely useless claim.

We need to focus on what we can actually do that preserves our culture, while still putting our faith first. (Putting your faith second is the same as being in another faith altogether.)

So we actually need to work with Muslims who abjure the sword. If we can’t win over more of the planet to Christianity without killing 80% of them first, then we aren’t doing Christianity right.

Hi Bob, the 30 days of prayer project (30daysprayer.com) to bring the truth of the Gospel to muslims has been active since 1993. During that time, some reports indicate that for the first time, there have been many “major movements” of muslims to a belief in Christ, including some reports of up to several million converts. One of the problems for muslims is that the vast majority of them have never heard the Gospel. The 30 days website offers training for how to approach muslims successfully and how to share the Gospel with them successfully. There are many successful Christian missionaries to the muslim world – we have several at our church in Dallas.

This year’s 30 days of prayer will run from May 6th to June 4th, during the muslim’s month of Ramadan.

I’m studying the Old Testament right now. So I’m aware of the burden scripture can put upon those who are not wise. And among the ones lacking wisdom, the jihadists causing all of the trouble in the world are like children. Only they have no excuse for their immaturity once they take up the violent path.

I think the winds of reform in Islam exist. And blessed are those who take the gospel to them.

(My words don’t mean we should ever bend in the face of their jihad. It just means we cannot restore the US by focusing on an entire religion as an enemy.)

I am currently reading the Complete Jewish Bible; it is interesting to read The Word in the correct translation. Many Hebrew words were mistranslated to Greek/English, so the traditional Bibles have some errors that make more sense when converted directly from Hebrew to English…not that one is better than another, because the basic tenet is the same; however, many questions I have had in my mind are answered and make sense now.

I agree with you that we cannot restore our nation by focusing on one religion as the enemy; we need to start with faith-based principles that many of our own citizens no longer have.

Islam was (and is) forced on people through beheadings, rape, theft and destruction of villages by Mohammed and his henchmen. Generations of mooslums have never learned any differently. They are raised to hate Jews and Christians…no reason, other than to hate us all. That is evil. They are the people whose souls we should be trying to save for Him.

Agreed. Anyone who murders, rapes, pillages and spreads their false religion throughout the world is nothing more than a minion of satan in my book. It is why many mooslums, when shown the love, light, life and hope of One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and that Jesus came to save souls, convert to Judaism or Christianity. Also, from what I have seen, not all religious people are people of faith and Jesus pointed that out often. There is a difference between showing up for church on weekends and Holidays, then forgetting God the rest of the week, so religion has very little to do with faith. I cannot start my day without reading scripture or I feel like I am missing a part of my body; reading scripture every morning grounds me and prepares me for what is ahead. Sadly, church has never done that, but I… Read more »

Depends on one’s threshold for what is valid. Islam claims to worship God. Supposedly the same God as in the Old Testament. You never hear this from Muslims, but Jesus is recognized as one of the prophets of God by Islam.

But unlike Jesus, who made it clear that God was uninterested in how humans organize themselves politically, old Mo decided to put God in service to the state and vice versa. So “political Islam” was born.

Political Islam is where most of the problems are.

Now the Saudis and Egyptians seek to reform political Islam to try and end the primitive jihadism. So Westerners who just want to excoriate the entire religion are making that job a lot harder. And weirdly, the leftists are fighting that reform, too.

Islam claims to worship God. Supposedly the same God as in the Old Testament.

Yes, they do claim this. But it is an insidious lie. The teachings of Islam are fundamentally incompatible with Christianity, and the recorded words and actions of Allah are absolutely alien to those of the God of Christianity and Judaism.

Dr. Strangelove

I guess that we disagree somewhat on this. When I refer to Allah, I use god rather than God. From what I’ve read, he’s a redux of an old, Arabic moon god. Wherever it takes hold, Islam forces people to submit. We may have “good” muslims here now, but look what’s happening in Dearborn and the Twin Cities.

Charli

Good point, and when mooslums actually read the Torah and fulfillment of the prophets (New Testament), they often convert to Christianity because they want that hope in their lives. The Quran offers them nothing. I believe that, in these End Times, it is our duty to bring as many to faith in the One true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saving their souls from satan. God loves all of His creations.

I don’t think I will ever really understand how the moronic left can embrace muslims as they do. Sure, they don’t all hate us, but many do. Many extremists would want us to be destroyed. I think the left hates mooslums as much as they do everyone else who does not march in lockstep with them; that is what happens in a valueless group looking for one world order domination and government control, despite having never created or run anything positive or productive. They actually think they can influence mooslums by cow-towing to them. The ridiculous part about that is that, because the left are valueless, islamic terror groups use the left, and certainly the democrat party, to take over…the communist hate group, Justice Democrats, is infiltrating the democrat party, which is horrifying to Pelosi, Schumer and other old driftwood within the party…Justice Democrats brought us AOC, Tlaib, Omar and many more.
