Kavanaugh was spitting fire today in his remarks with Senator Feinstein. She was trying to corner him by asking why he didn’t push for an FBI investigation. But Kavanaugh hit back hard, saying that he’d have been all in to do whatever the committee wanted him to do.
He also pointed out that the FBI doesn’t reach conclusions, but that they would have just handed the Senate a couple of 302s telling them what they said.
At one point he interrupted Feinstein as she was lamenting the fact that there were no investigators to interview them. He said “you’re interviewing me. You’re doing it!”
Kavanaugh made clear that it was an outrage that ten days passed before he was allowed to come and testify to clear his name. He told Feinstein directly “My family has been destroyed by this Senator!”
