NBA’s Golden State Warriors throw co-owner under the bus over Uyghur views

The NBA’s Golden State Warriors team apparently has more than one owner, with Chamath Palihapitiya being a minority owner.

We told you about his comments earlier today, where he claimed that he doesn’t care one iota about China’s genocide of the Uyghurs.

Since then, the Golden State Warrior’s PR team has put out a statement throwing him under the bus:

That was tweeted by the team’s PR twitter account.

Of course, they don’t go into detail on what ‘views’ they are talking about with respect to Palihapitiya, but they are clearly referring to the Uyghurs.

NBA player Enes Kanter has also been speaking out on this today, shaming the co-owner for his comments:

According to Business Insider, Palihapitiya is a venture capitalist, founder and CEO of Social Capital and part owner of the Golden State Warriors.
