What? That’s the correct reaction, but I promise you that is actually what she said. Because they ARE beyond parody as my Senator said.
When Ted Cruz tweeted a perfectly believable fake screenshot showing an Atlantic article calling outrage of Muslim parents “white supremacy,” the left pretended to be both aghast and mystified by the point.
But you can always count on Joy Reid to make the point abundantly clear. The reason the screenshot seemed real is that THAT’S A REAL THING THE MEDIA DOES ALL THE TIME.
For example, this story from NBC News…
Ron DeSantis is so popular among Florida Latinos, he may win blue county Miami-Dade, something a Republican governor has not done in 20 years.https://t.co/xhbXZ7jSI3

Got this reply from Joy Reid:
This wouldn’t surprise me at all. The Proud Boys have all but merged with the Miami Dade Republican Party. Sociopolitically, Florida is basically morphing into Brazil. https://t.co/W7Xk1GPi6y https://t.co/J1BxxTCM4f

Soooo the fact that he is so popular with minority voters that he may carry a blue count is the fault of … the Proud Boys?
Latinos are going for a Republican Governor for the first time so that just proves they’re racist and hate themselves or something https://t.co/T7gMjzfr1V

Ha! Proud Boys are no longer White Supremacists but an extremist Latino movement, because DeSantis is polling well. What a freaking pivot. https://t.co/KwZUNmx6l4
