New emails reveal Dr. Fauci commissioned paper to DISPROVE lab leak theory

House Republicans on the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released a memo yesterday showing evidence that Dr. Fauci commissioned a paper to disprove the COVID lab leak theory early in 2020.

We’ll give you the brief version now but the memo is posted below for you to read in full.

The memo shows that Dr. Fauci commissioned Dr. Kristian Andersen, Professor, Scripps Research, to write a Proximal Origin paper on COVID disproving the lab leak theory early in 2020.

Dr. Andersen writes in one email on February 12:

“Prompted by Jeremy Farrah [sic], Tony Fauci, and Francis Collins, Eddie Holmes, Andrew Rambaut, Bob Garry, Ian Lipkin, and myself have been working through much of the (primarily) genetic data to provide agnostic and scientifically informed hypothesis around the origins of the virus.”

Dr. Andersen wrote in an earlier email on February 8th: ”

Our main work over the last couple of weeks has been focused on trying to disprove any type of lab theory…”

The COVID paper was written for publication in Nature Medicine and guess who did the final edit of the paper before publication? Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The memo tells us this based on an e-mail from Kristian Andersen to Anthony Fauci, Francis Collins, & Jeremy Farrar on Mar. 6, 2020:

“Prior to final publication in Nature Medicine, the paper was sent to Dr. Fauci for editing and approval.”

Dr. Fauci had final say on this paper he commissioned to disprove the lab leak.

In mid April Dr. Francis Collins was upset that the paper they had commissioned hadn’t squashed the lab leak theory. He expressed that to Dr. Fauci and he obliged:

On April 16, 2020, slightly more than two months after the original conference call, Dr. Collins emailed Dr. Fauci expressing dismay that Proximal Origin—which they saw prior to publication and were given the opportunity to edit—did not squash the lab leak hypothesis and asks if the NIH can do more to “put down” the lab leak hypothesis. The next day—after Dr. Collins explicitly asked for more public pressure—Dr. Fauci cited Proximal Origin from the White House podium when asked if COVID-19 leaked from a lab.

Dr. Fauci cited a paper he commissioned and approved to disprove the lab leak theory from the White House podium in order to try and debunk the lab leak theory.

Why? He did it because he’d been funding the Wuhan lab’s gain-of-funciton research though EcoHealth and knew he was guilty, at least indirectly, of helping create this virus that killed millions. What a piece of garbage.
