New poll shows Ted Cruz CRUSHING Beto O’Rourke

Today we have another poll out in the Cruz vs O’Rourke Senate race. While the poll yesterday suggested to some that the race might be tightening – which we weren’t buying – the new poll today shows Cruz crushing Beto.

Here’s the lowdown from CBSDFW:

If the election for Senator were held today, 52% of likely voters in Texas said they would vote for incumbent Cruz while 42% said they would vote for O’Rourke.

Here’s the interesting part:

Just one month ago in the same poll the race could have been considered a dead heat. That spread was down to just 4% – within the margin of error – with Cruz at 46% and O’Rourke still at 42%. It would appear that many of the voters who were undecided back in September are now leaning towards Cruz.

So the race went from a +4 point margin for Cruz to a +10 point margin in one month! That’s awesome.

The same thing happened to Greg Abbott. He was leading a month ago over Lupe Valdez by +19 points and now leads by a +26 points.

As we did yesterday, let’s look at the polling info:

SEPT: 519 likely voters with a ±4.3% margin of error. “225 Republican likely voters, 195 Democrat likely voters and 99 ‘other’ likely voters across Texas.

NOW: 588 likely voters with a ±4.04% margin of error. “253 are Republicans, 223 are Democrats, and 112 are Independents.”

That’s pretty close, unlike the one yesterday. Assuming their methodologies and questions haven’t changed much, I think it’s safe to conclude that Cruz has gained substantially!

But hey, this is just polling and may be wrong. Don’t you dare sit at home and let Beto end up winning! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
