In the first major poll result since the news of the Manhattan Soros DA’s absurd indictment of Donald Trump the 2024 leader is even FURTHER ahead than he was, with a huge bump over competitors including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
In fact, it’s Trump’s biggest lead yet. Here’s more from YouGov:
In the previous Yahoo News/YouGov survey, which was conducted less than two weeks ago, Trump (47%) led DeSantis (39%) by eight percentage points in a head-to-head matchup among registered voters who are Republicans or Republican-leaning independents. As recently as February, it was DeSantis who was narrowly ahead of Trump, 45% to 41%.
But the new, post-indictment poll suddenly finds Trump lapping DeSantis by 26 percentage points — 57% to 31% — in a one-on-one contest. The former president even attracts majority support (52%, up from 44% previously) when pitted against a wider, 10-candidate field of declared and potential GOP challengers, while DeSantis plummets to 21% (down from 28%).
No one else cracks double digits.
Yeah this was always going to increase his popularity in the party. What the smug libs and MSM didn’t realize the first time and still don’t is that it also increases his popularity in the silent majority of Americans out there who can’t stand media bias and the far left infiltration of all of public life.
They think it’s GOOD for them he is ahead in primary. They don’t realize this isn’t just him being ahead in the primary, it’s the GOP and American values being ahead in the general election. Even if DeSantis or Haley or even PENCE were the nominee, this indictment would be pushing numbers higher against the Dems.
But let them gloat. This is good for us and bad for them.
