Late last night Dianne Feinstein called for an indefinite postponement of the hearing scheduled for this Thursday in light of the new allegations from Deborah Ramirez:
New: @SenFeinstein calls for “an immediate postponement of any further proceedings related to the nominating of Brett Kavanaugh.” She also wants an FBI investigation into Deborah Ramirez’s allegation. pic.twitter.com/SxaYYeqVt1

This is ridiculous, especially when you see what the New York Times wrote about these new allegations:
The Times interviewed dozens to corroborate 2nd allegation against Kavanaugh and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ramirez told ex-classmates she couldn't be certain Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself. @SherylNYT @npfandos https://t.co/lGVc4hJzEU

Here’s the quote:
The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.
Note that the quote says they interviewed “several dozen people” and could find NO ONE who can corroborate this. And the even bigger point is that Ramirez can’t find anyone either and isn’t even certain it’s Kavanaugh.
And yet Feinstein wants this phony new allegation to stop the hearing? As I said, ridiculous.
It’s really laughable that Democrats expect anyone to take these allegations seriously. Ronan Farrow, who had a good reputation for exposing legitimate #metoo allegations, just blew it last night with his report.
None of this sounds credible, including the original allegations made by Ford.
It’s time for Republicans to get some balls and go ahead and vote Kavanaugh onto the court and put a stop to this madness.
