UN. BELIEVABLE. Twitter has now slapped a warning label on a Trump tweet about mail-in voting. They’ve done this on other tweets from the President, on Covid related topics, and now they are carrying water for Democrat conspiracy theories about mail-in voting.
“So now the Democrats are using Mail Drop Boxes, which are a voter security disaster. Among other things, they make it possible for a person to vote multiple times. Also, who controls them, are they placed in Republican or Democrat areas? They are not Covid sanitized. A big fraud!” wrote President Trump.
This is what Twitter said. “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about civic and election integrity. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.”
We placed a public interest notice on this Tweet for violating our Civic Integrity Policy for making misleading health claims that could potentially dissuade people from participation in voting. https://t.co/MA6E7mBpkm

The ways in which this is an outrage are virtually limitless, but the hypocrisy is self-evident. When Democrats say it isn’t safe to vote because of Covid, could that DISSUADE people from voting?
YES.
“But Fred that’s why they say vote by mail.”
HELLOOOO. If Trump says mail-in votes are iffy so therefore VOTE IN PERSON then that is exactly the same thing as saying voting in person is iffy so vote by mail!
The same thing. But will they be slapping labels on Democrats? No.
And it’s worse and more blatant than you think. Look at this, from National Review.
Twitter has declined to address viral tweets pushing misinformation about the Postal Service, saying they did not violate the company’s updated civic integrity policy, which was used to fact-check President Trump in May.
After Trump said last week that he opposed funding the USPS because “that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting,” tweets of mailboxes being “locked” or stored away went viral on Twitter.
The claims, which have over 25,000 and 82,000 retweets respectively, elicited dramatic claims about Trump’s alleged efforts to disrupt the upcoming election. Walter Shaub — head of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics under President Obama — said “this is what a coup looks like,” while top Democratic impeachment aide Daniel Goldman called it “the most anti-democratic thing [Trump] has done.”
But other Twitter users debunked both posts in comprehensive threads. “This is my post office. These mailboxes are open on the other side, you just have to get out of your car to mail them. It’s been this way for months. This isn’t part of the purge,” one user replied to former NBA player Rex Chapman’s tweet. She then went to the physical location to show the mailboxes were still in use.
“Despite the corrections, a Twitter spokesperson told National Review that the viral tweets did not violate the platform’s rules, including its civic integrity policy — which prohibits “misleading information relating to votes not being counted,'” it says.
They previously did a “fact check” of Trump saying that mail-in voting is subject to voter fraud, calling it an “unsubstantiated” claim. It isn’t. Who fact checks them? Or better yet, WHO MADE THEM ARBITERS?
This is activism in service of an agenda. It can’t continue.
