New Zealand has just chosen a biological male to compete with females in the Olympic sport of weightlifting. Seriously:
REUTERS – Weightlifter Laurel Hubbard will become the first transgender athlete to compete at the Olympics after being selected by New Zealand for the women’s event at the Tokyo Games, a decision set to reignite a debate over inclusion and fairness in sport.

The 43-year-old, who will be the oldest lifter at the Games, had competed in men’s weightlifting competitions before transitioning in 2013.
“I am grateful and humbled by the kindness and support that has been given to me by so many New Zealanders,” Hubbard said in a statement issued by the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) on Monday.
They’re already defending the ‘unfairness argument:
NZOC chief Kereyn Smith said it was an “historic moment in sport and for the New Zealand team.”
“She is our first Olympian who has transitioned from male to female,” she told reporters.
“We do know that there are many questions about fairness of transgender athletes competing in the Olympic Games but I would like to take this opportunity to remind us all that Laurel has met all of the required criteria.”
“Has met all of the required criteria???” Yeah maybe he does after they lowered the standards to exclude competing on the basis of someone’s biological gender. If that had been a requirement this wouldn’t be an issue.
But in the name of ‘inclusion’, this transgender fraud, formerly named Gavin, will undoubtedly win gold medals in a sport he shouldn’t be competing in, taking medals from women who have worked very hard to compete and win. He’s been doing it all along and, just as in the past, his female competitors will have to ‘grin and bear it’ or else they’ll be called bigots and risk getting cancelled.
This is how systemic this problem has become, that it’s finally reached the olympics. When I say the world is out of control with this nonsense, this is what I mean. It’s everywhere. All pillars of influence in the world are being corrupted by the LGBT agenda, whether it be Hollywood, corporate news media, corporations, universities, and now the highest level of sporting in the world.
