Reports out of Chechnya that gays are being rounded up, some tortured and killed, have been slowly gaining steam until our Ambassador to the United Nations has taken notice.

When asked about the reports, a law enforcement figure in Chechnya said that it was impossible because there are no gays in that entire country. Then he added, authorities wouldn’t NEED to do that, because if anyone turned up gay, their own family and community would dispose of them.
And yet, people act like the United States is the most homophobic country anywhere…
