Tom Cotton said today that the GOP would welcome Joe Manchin with open arms if he switched parties:
All of this comes after Mitch McConnell said something similar. It’s a BAD IDEA to be inviting Manchin to the GOP. It works so much better that he’s a Democrat, a thorn in their side, someone to keep them honest. He’s also a beacon to the liberal electorate that demonstrates just how radical his party has become.
Manchin would make a terrible Republican. He would be the worst of the RINOs and we have some bad ones.
I love Manchin as a ‘centrist’ Democrat or whatever he calls himself and I think it is currently working well for both Republicans and America. While I’d love to see Republicans in the majority, I think what we have right now, which is gridlock, works good enough until we get to the next election.
