They’re gunning after the Washington Redskins to change their name, and now the Cleveland Indians are considering it too:
The Cleveland Indians announced Friday that they are working “to determine the best path forward” regarding their team name, as part of their “responsibility to advance social justice and equality.” The announcement comes after the Washington Redskins announced they would also be reviewing their team’s name.
“Our organization fully recognizes our team name is among the most visible ways in which we connect with the community,” the team said in a statement. “We have had ongoing discussions organizationally on these issues. The recent social unrest in our community and our country has only underscored the need for us to keep improving as an organization on issues of social justice.”

This just seems silly to me. Whatever problems we might have with racism, and there is plenty of disagreement on that, changing the names of sports teams will do practically nothing to help solve our problems. All it is is trying to appease the worst, stupidest, and loudest of the fringe woke voices. I doubt very much that most Native Americans give a damn, and a sign of this is that no one ever polls them or asks them about it! Still, corporations are scared out of their minds because they don’t understand that 100 accounts on Twitter can be screaming and yelling and it’s mostly meaningless. Sad!!
