Jonathan Martin, New York Times reporter, tweeted today that Biden’s latest gaffes are creating anxiety for his staffers and that Democrats are ‘thrilled’ that Hidin’ Biden doesn’t actually have to go out and campaign:
The latest Biden gaffes reflect:
a) the real/perceived risk he poses to himself, anxiety he causes in staff and why so many Dems are thrilled there is no real public campaign
b) how much Trump was depending on Biden gaffes & how little land they have to live off of now

Biden is not only the puppet candidate, but he’s the puppet candidate on strings in his basement. They are having to control him like a manickan because he’s a huge embarrassment if they let him loose.
Just this week he’s had two major gaffes, one where he asked a black reporter if he was on drugs. And the other today, where he suggested African-Americans are a monolith compared to Latinos.
Martin also noted that Trump’s “penchant for always being at the center of attention has also overwhelmed Biden’s gaffes”:
Covid and admin handling thereof has made this as close to a single-issue election as we’ve had in some time.
But Trump’s penchant for always being at the center of attention has also overwhelmed Biden’s gaffes (more…)

There may be a little truth to that, but let me tell you that the media is doing their best to ignore Biden’s gaffes. They will never cover them like they do anything Trump says or does, and it’s pretty dishonest for Martin just blame Trump for stepping on Biden’s gaffes.
The media loves to hate on Trump and they loathe hating on Biden because he’s their candidate. That and the fact that they are heavily invested in Trump losing in November.
