The exchange below is a very disturbing. The State Department spokesperson is repeatedly asked whether or not the Obama administration considers Jerusalem the capital of Israel and her response is that Jerusalem has a ‘permanence status issue’ and must be negotiated between the ‘parties’, meaning Israel and the Palestinians. In other words, the Obama administration refuses to accept that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel (h/t: Weekly Standard):
