Sounds like it should have been an easy sell. Just tax millionaires, billionaires, and big corporations a little bit more and voila! – deficit problem solved! Who could oppose that? Too bad Obama never put that so-called plan in writing, maybe we could have had the CBO score it. You know – just to get a second opinion.
Alas, that never happened so I guess we’ll just have to take Obama’s word for it. Once again, the President blames everybody but himself when it comes to the deficit. Oh, the irony. If anyone can explain to me how he thinks he can get away with this, after emphatically vetoing signing off on the crappy debt deal earlier this month, I’m all ears. It helps, I suppose, that his audience isn’t too swift on the uptake.
