Obama denigrated the good work of Civil Rights leaders in the sixties by equating them to the idiots and morons who sit on their asses and tweet about micro-aggressions on hashtags. He made the comments today at his commencement speech at Howard University.

Yeah, NO. It took courage to advocate for greater equality half a century ago. It takes abject ignorance of facts and reason to tweet that you’re being oppressed because you can’t reach for a cop’s gun without being shot.
UPDATE!! As per a question in the comments, I realize not everyone knows what “black Twitter” is. It’s a corner of Twitter where black people congregate to talk about black issues, but it’s not necessarily political. Sometimes they talk about television shows or movies or anything else. But when black people talk about anything on Twitter, they call it “black Twitter” – it’s not a set group of people, it’s just an amorphous vague grouping of tweets. Which makes Obama’s assertion is more ridiculous. Your cultural enrichment has thus ended for the day.
