Shannon Bream is reporting that the White House told Speaker Boehner that if he would go ahead and pass the 2 month extension, then they would be glad to talk after that about a 1 year deal:

Also, I guess Obama is going to be writing reading more letters now about what 40 bucks means to some poor person. I’m sure they’ll be real tearjerkers.
