It was actually a pretty decent speech. It seems about the only time politicians actually seem human is when they lose an election. In any case, he’s facing the dissolution of his legacy by Trump in the same way that he dissolved George W. Bush’s when he went into office. He should have told liberals the real silver lining in their black cloud: Trump has killed conservatism.
