As we suggested yesterday, the media is trying to scandalize DeSantis for him trying to unbrainwash high school students yesterday who were all wearing masks.
Last night, the mother of one of the students who took off his mask at DeSantis’ urging claimed she was angry and the governor for telling her son the truth.
Um, why isn’t she wearing a mask in this interview while she’s forcing her son to do so? Seriously, these people do not make any sense whatsoever.
Also, did you hear how long the son took to answer whether he felt pressured by DeSantis to take off his mask? He finally says ‘a little’, but we all know that Governor told them that if they wanted to wear one it would be fine. Sure, he prefered they took them off and told them as much, so I’m not discounting what the son said. But the fact that he took so long to come up with ‘a little’ means he didn’t feel much pressure at all.
Yesterday Chris Hayes was predictably screaming about it on Twitter:
