Lebron has so many people upset over his ridiculous comments and tweets about a justified shooting in Columbus, Ohio, that a pub owner, who banned all NBA games from airing in his establishment until Lebron is kicked out of the league is doing more business than ever:
DC EXAMINER – An Ohio pub owner who banned airing NBA games in his establishment until LeBron James is “expelled” from the league said he has received positive feedback and more customers since the announcement.
“The support for the position has been overwhelmingly positive and has far outweighed the negatives,” Jay Linneman, the owner of Linnie’s Pub, said. “I hope people channel the support to law enforcement and not necessarily to Linnie’s Pub.”
The support has also spread to other parts of Cincinnati, including at a gas station a few miles from the pub.
“Hey LeBron, the West Side thanks you. Linne’s has never been busier,” a sign hanging at the gas station reads.
The increase in customers comes after Linneman posted that Linnie’s won’t air NBA games as long as James is still in the league after his controversial comments on police.
“If anyone wants to watch an NBA game, don’t come to Linnie’s Pub,” he wrote on Facebook, referencing controversy surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers star. “We will not air them until Lebron James has been expelled from the NBA.”
James responded to the announcement by mocking it on Twitter: “Aww Damn! I was headed there to watch our game tonight and have a drink! Welp.”
I’m seriously not shocked that this pub owner, who took a very pro-law enforcement stance against Lebron’s irrational and absurd comments, is reaping the rewards from people who feel the same way. I don’t go to pubs but if I did, I’d pay this one a visit in a heartbeat.
As I’ve said many times already, that cop in Columbus was a hero and Lebron’s tweet targeting that officer, as if he did something wrong, went far beyond the pale and should get him suspended from the league.
I’ve certainly had issues with the NFL, but I still watch my Cowboys when I can. But there’s no way I’d ever watch the NBA while they keep propping up people like Lebron. Nope.
Kudos to Linnie’s for taking a stand like this. If you live near Linnie’s, pay them a visit and tell them TRS sent you. He probably won’t know who we are, but that’s ok.
