It truly is unbelievable what Democrats get away with saying.
Here is Patrick Leahy today saying he wishes votes could be more bipartisan for Supreme Court nominees, suggesting it undermines the high court when only one party confirms a nominee:
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) on a Democratic #SCOTUS nominee: "I worry, when it becomes just a one-party kind of vote…I wish we'd go back to the time when we'd come together."
That’s rich considering how Democrats treated SCOTUS nominations from the previous administration. pic.twitter.com/zoWuTs88Kz

I don’t know what the host asked Leahy after he said this, but my question would have been to ask him if he feels this way, then why did he vote against the last three Supreme Court nominations? That’s right. He voted against Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett and yet here he is claiming he wishes things were more bipartisan now that his party is nominating someone for the high court.
And don’t get me started on how Democrats treated Kavanaugh to try and nix his nomination to the high court. They lied about him, smeared him, accused him of horrible things and tried to destroy the man in the process of killing his nomination. And that’s the understatement of the year for anyone who remembers it all. And of course, Leahy was a part of it all and here he is pining for bipartisanship.
What a piece of crap.
