Paul Ryan answered a question this morning on DACA, explaining that Trump was right in his decision to terminate DACA:
Obama “was wrong” on DACA because “he overstepped his constitutional bounds,” Ryan says, adding Pres. Trump was “right in his decision” pic.twitter.com/lW8P1a3UZL

Ryan says he’s also happy that Trump gave them time to come up with a legislative compromise to deal with the issue.
Of course he didn’t address the fact that Trump tweeted last night that he’d revisit the issue in six months is Congress fails:
Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 6, 2017
I like the fact that Trump put pressure on Congress originally to get this done. But this tweet completely undoes that because it tells Democrats that Trump will just undo the termination if Congress fails. It gives them an excuse to stonewall on the issue to prevent anything getting done.
For someone supposedly good at negotiations, this seems like a boneheaded move.
But it’s all moot if Congress does find a way to fix it. I guess we’ll know by March 2018.
