Nancy Pelosi actually mocked a reporter today for asking her to explain why the whistleblower’s right of anonymity prevails over the rights of the accused, in this case Trump, to face their accuser:

ROSEN: “James Rosen with Sinclair. Thank you Madam Speaker. We hear it said routinely and of course it’s true that impeachment is a political process, not a legal one. And yet as we can observe, many of it surrounding a legal process — we have counsels, depositions, subpoenas, perjury and so forth. This was made clear yesterday by Chairman Schiff, seemed to me, when he reminded the minority that he would do everything necessary to ensure the legal rights of the whistleblower to preserve anonymity —“
PELOSI: “That’s right. Right.”
ROSEN: “— in this political setting. And so I wonder if you could explain to the American people why the legal rights of the whistleblower should prevail in this political setting over those of President Trump who should ordinarily enjoy a right to confront his accuser.”
PELOSI: “Well, let me just say this. I will say to you, ‘Mr. Republican Talking Points,’ what I said to the president of the United States. When you talk about the whistleblower, you’re coming into my wheelhouse. I have more experience in intelligence than anybody in the Congress, anybody’s ever served; 25 years on the committee as top Democrat, ex officio as speaker and leader. I was there when we wrote the whistleblower laws. The whistleblower is there to speak truth to power and have protection for doing that and any — and retribution or harm coming to whistle-blower undermines our ability to hear truth about power. So I will defend the rights of the whistleblower vehemently, vehemently.”

Definitely nah from the likes of Stelter, who wouldn’t even cover ABC News retaliating against their whistleblower, even though they got it wrong. He’ll never defend a Sinclair reporter because the left has demonized them like they have Fox News.
Pelosi also calls on Trump to prove his innocence…
So guilty until proven innocent? Well I guess that sounds about right given that they’ve pretty much thrown out due process altogether.
