Pelosi opposes move to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene and Twitter says blocking Greene was an ERROR

In somewhat of a shocker, Nancy Pelosi rejected the effort by 70 Democrats to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene, saying it was not a position of the Democrat leadership:

DC EXAMINER – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday dismissed a move by nearly one-third of her Democratic caucus to expel freshman Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene.

More than 70 House Democrats signed a resolution, drafted by Rep. Jimmy Gomez, to expel Greene, who Democratic lawmakers say poses a threat to their safety.

However, Pelosi dismissed the effort to kick Greene out of Congress.

“I’m not going to get into that,” the California Democrat told reporters Friday. “Members are very unhappy about what’s happened here. And they can express themselves the way they do. What Mr. Gomez did is his own view. And that is not a leadership position.”

I guess some Democrats do surprise us every once in a while.

In related news, Twitter claims the locking of MTG’s account just after midnight last night was an error:

Twitter says its automated technology made an “error” in suspending Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) account for 12 hours, which began around 1 a.m. Friday morning, according to her office.

Greene’s office on Friday alleged that Twitter gave “no explanation” as to why the account had been suspended. A Twitter spokesperson told Axios on Friday that our automated systems took enforcement action on the account referenced in error,” adding, “This action has been reversed, and access to the account has been reinstated.”

Why does it seem that these ‘errors’ always go in one direction, towards Republicans and conservatives. It just doesn’t add up. Either someone at Twitter just decided to lock her account and Twitter is covering that up, or the algorithms in their automated enforcement system weigh much heavier at targeting people on the right than the left. I don’t know which, but I suspect most of the time it’s a lot of BOTH.
