Nancy Pelosi’s Deputy Chief of Staff accused Paul Ryan on Twitter of saying the press conference was a ‘waste of my f—ing time’ as he walked out. Here’s the tweet (he’s now deleted) and video he posted with the tweet:
Even Huffpo reporter Sam Stein was asking if it was Ryan:
Was this really Paul Ryan saying talking to reporters was a "waste of my fucking time" https://t.co/mw4dPFvUmc

You can tell by the voice that’s clearly not Paul Ryan. Also, Ryan didn’t have a lapel mic. He was speaking into the mic at the podium, just as they all were.
Ashlee Strong, National Press Secretary for Ryan, said it was a reporter next to the mic who said that and called on Drew to apologize:
You should be ashamed of yourself. That was clearly a reporter next to the mic. Delete your account. https://t.co/MGbbTWRq8B

@samsteinhp It wasn't. And Drew should be embarrassed. Ryan wasn't even near the mic. Shameful of Pelosi staff. He should apologize.

Drew eventually said he did apologize after citing that Ryan’s Communication’s Advisor told him it wasn’t Ryan:
.@BrendanBuck tells me that was not his boss. Will take his word for it and I apologized.

Why would he accuse Ryan of this in the first place? Just dumb, really.
