The former FBI agent who was fired over anti-Trump texts is now suing the DOJ and the FBI.
He says that his personal opinions didn’t get in the way of his job, and if that’s the case, then yeah, he was unfairly fired. It’s kind of tough to believe that when reading the texts, but that’s what courts are for.
He also says that his privacy rights were violated when his texts were released, but from what I remember, those texts were made from an FBI company phone, right? I supposed you can still argue that there is an expectancy of privacy even if it wasn’t bright for him to text such private thoughts on the company phone.
It’ll be really interesting to see if this is tossed out, or if he’s successful with the lawsuit. He’s seeking backpay and damages….
