As if this political season couldn’t get any weirder, I actually saw Piers Morgan make sense. Yes, I thought I had taken too much meth too, but it turned out I had taken just the right amount!
In this interview with Tucker Carlson, Morgan assails the mainstream media for not giving enough press to the horrible attack on Coptic Christians on Palm Sunday.
It’s surprisingly good:

Unfortunately, with someone like Trump promising to be so aggressive against Islamism, I think this will just get worse. For those Christians in other lands that are surrounded by hostile oppressors, the more their enemies see America asserting itself, the more it’ll be taken out on them.
Now, Carlson exaggerates, as is typical for him, but the main point is very apt. For some reason the media doesn’t care much when Christians are attacked for their religion even in America, much less anywhere else. I have to think, however, that this is partly our fault too. We’re very self-obsessed and only seek news about the U.S. and Europe.
If we sought out more news from our Christian counterparts elsewhere, the demand would create the supply. A lesson for all of us, even as we blame the media, like Morgan rightly stated….
