POLITICO: Evacuation flights out of Biden’s Afghanistan might not be free, and they might be pretty damn expensive

According to Politico the Biden administration might be charging Americans a lot of money to evacuate them out of the Taliban hell-hole in Kabul that Biden created with his disaster of a pullout:

EVACUATION FLIGHTS NOT GUARANTEED TO BE FREE: Even though U.S. officials tell NatSec Daily and others that evacuation flights from Kabul will be free, people trying to catch a plane in the Afghan capital say differently. One person said State Department staff were seeking large payments — up to $2,000 — from American passengers and even more from non-U.S. citizens.

When we relayed what this person told us to the State Department, a spokesperson didn’t deny that this is happening.

“U.S. law requires that evacuation assistance to private U.S. citizens or third country nationals be provided ‘on a reimbursable basis to the maximum extent practicable.’ The situation is extremely fluid, and we are working to overcome obstacles as they arise,” the spokesperson said.

In other words, the Biden administration may request payments for evacuation flights.

This is abominable. Biden let the country go to absolute hell under Taliban control and now his administration wants to charge people $2,000 to rescue them? Are you kidding me?

In case you are wondering, as crazy as this sounds, Biden won’t be asking for the money up front. The official policy on repatriation flights is that people sign a promissory note promising to pay the hefty fee after they get home.

Seriously, what choice do these people have that are now trapped over there thanks to Biden? Of course they’ll promise to pay it just to get away from the Taliban. But this should not be so. They shouldn’t be charged a plug nickel to be rescued and if the Biden administration doesn’t change this, Republicans should raise holy freaking hell about it.

In a just world, Biden should have to pay for these flights out of his own deep pockets. You know, those pockets filled with corrupt Burisma cash…
